Finally: good news re DH. He had a heart catheterization today which showed NO real damage to the heart or the bypasses that were installed 7 years ago. Everything is A OK. No stents, no heart attack, no new bypasses. Just blood thinners to avoid future clots.
DH now sees this as a grace, that the “incident” after surgery allowed Docs to see that he needed blood thinners, or a clot might have done its evil deed at home and unnoticed til it was too late.
However, in this fight to get DH’s blood cleaned via dialysis, we’d prefer 20 steps forward instead of this one forward two back approach!
So here’s today’s verse of conviction:
You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men [and women] who will be able to teach others also. (2 Timothy 2:1-2 ESV)
Just today on a work conference call, someone brought up the notion that we should always look for someone more experienced to pour into us and someone less experienced into whom we can pour.
It’s the whole notion of spiritual reproduction: train others who will in turn train others.
I’m not so bad at training others.
It’s the training them to train others that I have to focus on.
But it can wait til tomorrow.
Til then, I bid you adieu. And have a nice night’s sleep.
I trust I shall.
